The Radio Station site is one of the most significant redevelopment opportunities
anywhere in the UK today. |
 |
Because of this exciting potential, Rugby Radio Station Limited Partnership (RRSLP) is working to put together a set of proposals which achieve a productive re-use of the site.
The development team is continuing to conduct detailed studies and technical assessments to inform the emerging plans. At the same time, we are continuing to talk to a mix of local, regional and national representatives and stakeholders to provide updates and listen to views.
As the detailed technical work reaches a conclusion, the team will be bringing forward a planning application for the proposed sustainable urban extension on the land that lies within Rugby Borough.
The team is also progressing an application for the proposed expansion of DIRFT on the land within Daventry District. These proposals currently constitute ‘nationally significant infrastructure’ and would therefore fall within the remit of the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC). A ‘Statement of Community Consultation’, detailing how local consultation will occur, has already been agreed with Daventry District Council. |
